The buck walked slowly up the many rocks leading up to the hill, his head held high. His work back at the Stream was done, for now anyway. He stood proud on top of the hill, not a threat, no, but to say to all he could climb it. He was one of the few, the strong, able to climb those many rocks to get where he was now.
Lowering his crania, he looked down as he reached the top, upon the lands, and smiled. It seemed everybody knew his name and what he was famous for, but not for what he really was. He was a mystery, a legend, he, was Kanu. Known for being in one place one minute, somewhere else another. Also known for turning away, leaving, and never looking back.
That made him who he was, no, who he is!

Spikes slowly rocks around a larde River, the water looked fresh. He dipped his nose in and gulped down some water, he looked over to see a deer leaving, curiosity hit Long Spike like an arrow. Spike leaped over the river and fallowed the other. He stepped lightly on each stone like it was a step to the clouds. He stopped and watched the stranger. He smiled, he had been alone sence his sisters departure and now he found another of his king, not a doe, a buck! He spoke loudly in intoduction, "Hello, I am new around here, You may Call Me Long Spikes!" He looked up in atempt of looking at his two long antlers that had but one point each, they where like swords. He scratched one dagger acrost a rock.

"I could care less who you are buck... but, now that you've told me, try to guess who I am?" He smirked, not looking at Long Spikes. This buck was too cheery for his liking, yes, much too happy. The name Kanu the Legend, his name, was spread all throughout the forest like wildfire, there were only a few who don't know it, and even FEWER who respect it. His smirk grew as the thoughts progressed, and then his mind faded into how no human has caught him. He sent them all home to their little cabins, as if a spell was put on them, but no, nothing of the sort. Nothing like that at all...

Long Spikes snorted, "Yah who hasn't heard of you Oh' Grat One!" He snorted to himself, "Yor the legend of the Buck that pretends to be strong and runs away from a twoleg!" He dug a dagger into the earth. He smirked and lifted his tail to reveal the white.

"For you information little buck, I don't run away from them. I toy with them. Get them angry until they go home to their little cabins in anger, all in a days work! You should be thinking me....for protecting the animals of the forest, not aggrivating me!"
Kanu snorted and still didn't look at him, just gazed over the hill, as if looking for something. He wasn't, but yet, there was always something to find...anywhere...

A small screech owl soared over the two bucks. He spotted a branch and quickly plumited down to it. The owl brushed some dirt off his feathers then turned to the two deer. "Hello." the screech owl said in a low voice " I'm Ember. You buck are..?" Ember's voice holded out waiting for a reply.

Saphira noticed two bucks and an owl. She noticed one of the bucks in perticular. One buck called him a legend. She studdied him closer. She went up to the buck.((Kanu). She wasn't about to start a conversation, just to find out what she wanted to know. "You wouldn't happen to be Kanu, the forest legend would you buck?" She gave him a hard stare. She was a kitten skunk, but she didn't care if he was God himself, she would talk to him as she would anyone else. "If so I have heard much about you. What is so great about you? You bucks look all the same to me." She still kept her stern face. She stared up at the buck.

"Keep to your buisness buck! I was not talking to you!" She snapped. She gave Long Spikes an icy glare of dislike. She was in no mood for idiots craving attention to themselves. "I may be a kit, and I may be small, but I warn you, Don't judge me by age and size!" She turned back to Kanu. "Well what about it? Are you going to answer or just stand there?" In her mind, Saphira was just as good as anyone else. She also had a bad attitude at the moment. She was impatient. Everyone mijudged her kind. They thought of them as smelly little worthless creatures that only bring misfortune. Saphira was no one to be misjudged.

Long Spikes looke daway, he wouldn't be won out by a puny skunk! He stomped up and down, in a rear. His antlers pointed high. Hardly visible from the distence of the skunk. He snorted and slamed his hooves to the ground, "If you wish for a fight I can give you one mouse-for-brain!"

"I'd be wasting my time and energy. And when it comes to insulting others, maybe you should referr to others, not yourself." She rolled hr eyes as they gazed up at Kanu. Still awaiting her answer.

She wished she had parents. If so all she had to do is call to them and that waste of life would be smelling up a storm for weeks! Saphira didn't even jump at his "attack". Instea she rolled her eyes and again said. "Your nothing more than a fawn with antlers. A brain of a blade of grass. An Idiot." She turned to Kanu, again. "Well are you going to answer me or not? I have not all day!" She snarled at the so-called legend.

"Sir Long Spikes, you have no intention on hurting something smaller than you. For if you do, it is I you shall have to go through...." He snorted, then turned to the skunk with a smirk. "Some people call me that...some don't..." he glared at the great 'Long Spikes' thinking he was 'all that.' Turning his full attention back to Saphira.
